Ride & Skid It 29 June 2019

Riders, Sliders & Skiders - 29 June 2019

Saturdays Ride & Skid It Flat Track Experience Day was held on a hot sunny day a bit too hot at times for the old bloke doing the photography and Aidans wife Kate saved me from dehydration by supplying me with a much needed bottle of water. Thanks Kate.

Aidan giving some final instructions

It was a full house this week with sixteen riders, one I think was a novice as I did see one rider with Les at the start of session 1. If he was a novice I couldn't pick him out as a novice in the later sessions, so Les must have done a good job.
Apart from the sixteen riders booked in for the Experience Day there were a handful of private riders (for want of a better expression). These are experienced riders, generally with their own bikes that have bigger engines.

Private Rider

Photographers always have something to moan about, generally something to do with the weather or the light. Its great to see Aidan, Adam and other fast lads burning up the track. On a dry day like Saturday however I can't see any of the riders as they come round as they've disappeared in a cloud of dust and it mucks up the focusing on the camera. So I've got plenty of murky riders enveloped in dust, which you'll be able to see in some of the photos.

Photos from the days action follow, they are all from the afternoon sessions,in no particular order and neither are they the best photos or the worst, purely at the whim of the old bloke that took them.
