Ride & Skid It - 07th October 17

Riders, Sliders & Skidders - 07th October 2017
Regardless of the weather it was another great Ride & Skid It Speedway session on Saturday at Buxton, with the usual spread of novice to experienced riders and quite a few riders I'd seen before.

Aidan Collins giving some details about the bike
I think it is safe to say the rain rained and the wind blew for most of the session and I do apologise for most of the photos being taken around the top corner; basically I kept my back to the rain in the hope that it would avoid rain getting on the lens and in my face! It worked to some extent but I did need to take shelter at one stage.

One of the first riders in session 1
Some photos from the various sessions in chronological order along with some shots of the various riders as they awaited their turn to ride the bikes; So here goes!

The Interchange - where it all happens

This rider was doing really well and giving it some, then this happened

The start of a long slide

Somewhere around the middle

The end of the run
It all happened in the blink of an eye but it was the best slide in the mud I've seen, somewhere in the region of 30 - 40ft covered! Apart from being muddied he was ok, he got up cleaned himself up or down and he was ready for his next ride. Good Man!

Muddied but not blooded
Hope you enjoyed the pics and thanks for looking.
